Another step forward to explore the activities of the Carrara LabDay

A photo album and video collections provided by the professional dancer, Roberta di Laura.

This week we continue to unravel the fascinating keynote speeches from the Carrara LabDay. After the inspiring presentation of Paolo Chiappini about the intangible heritage that makes Tuscany "the land of good living", is Roberta di Laura' s turn to take the stage.

Roberta is a professional dancer and is currently a member of the International Dance Council (CID), a body recognized by UNESCO that is based in Paris and is at this time the highest international organization for all forms of dance. In capacity of CID member she participated at several World Dance Research Congresses, such as Athens, St. Petersburg, Miami, presenting research works on the theme of dance as a tool for cultural and territorial promotion.

During the LabDay the artist presented two of her projects: “Wunderbar Taranto” and “Traveling Ballerina Project”.

The first project is an amazing experience to enhance the most characteristic places of Taranto (the hometown of the artist) through the use of union of dance and photos, developed with the collaboration of the German photographer specialised in dance René Bolcz.

The second project consists of performances - variations of famous classical ballets - that are performed and staged in the public spaces of several cities (such as Berlin, Cologne, Dubai).

Below you can have a look at some impressions from these two projects.
